MATERIAL NOTIFICATION LETTERS

Some customers in the Bryan Co. Rural Water District #2 service area whose houses were built before 1985 will be receiving letters from Rural Water #2. These letters are "Material Notifications" and were sent to those customers that are served by either a Lead, Galvanized or Lead-Status Unknown service line. For our system to comply with the most recent EPA regulations for the Lead & Copper Rule we were required to distribute these letters, which the majority are Lead-Status Unknown. From January through September 2026, you may see field personnel at you meter with the equipment needed to determine the status of the water service lines more accurately. There is no cost to the customer for this service. Revisions to the Lead & Copper Rule are still being reviewed, so we will keep our customers informed as we are informed.
